Iron Chef: Saute & Pasta

These Iron Chef Teens are terrific!  Not only can they now dismantle a chicken, but they can totally whip up their own pasta, ricotta cheese, and chicken Parmesan in a snap.  Later today (Wednesday), we’ll announce the secret ingredient for their “battle” on Friday…they can’t wait!

Culinary World Tour: Spain & The Netherlands

We had to make a small change to our schedule this week to include a little World Cup awesomeness, didn’t we??  In trying to keep things current, our morning camp whipped up a little paella, Crema Catalana, Tostada de Ajo, and a Dutch Baby (the kind you eat, that is!).

Iron Chef Camp: Knife Skills

Ever hand a group of teenagers whole chickens and have them cut them apart? I have!  One table was totally grossed out, the other into those birds up to their elbows!

Farm Fresh: The Last Day

Well, that’s it.  The end of another great camp with another wonderful group of kids.  These guys were so eager to try new things in the kitchen, and new foods.  We were lucky to have them at The Kitchen Studio.  Check out these great pics:

Farm Fresh: Thursday

Today, the little guys were introduced to Fred the egg separator.  He “snot” a mug…a little gross, but man, do these guys love it!  Add in one of my fellows saying “Hey, can I tell you something?” *pause* “It’s about zombies.” and you have an almost perfect camp day.  Can’t believe there’s just one more day with this group.

Today’s menu: Zucchini Casserole, Strawberry Yogurt Pops, Panzanella, and the start of gelato for tomorrow.  It was a good day. :)

Gracie can't believe that Fred is "snot" a mug. Too funny! :)
