Thanks for sharing. I had thought about going to that session as I, well, er, I have one of those buttered noodle nine-year-olds. But given your report I am glad I didn't miss anything.

So great to meet you Joanne! Didn't quite make it to Baked, so I'll have to keep moving through their cookbook. Seriously though, you NEED to make the sweet & salty cake. To. Die. For! And seriously? Those kids totally outdid me with the fondant. Not my thing, but they love, love, loved it!

Hey! It was great meeting you at BlogHer the other day (at the Dianne Jacob talk). Did you ever get to go to Baked?

I love your blog! The kids did so well on those cakes! They are far better decorators than I am.

We love your video. It's entertaining and easy to follow. One important thing left out...don't touch your nose or eyes after handling the jalapeno peppers - ouch.

Well, I accidentally ran into yours by surfing my favorite website Epicurious.com, but will keep in touch as I have a few others that I love to scope out as well.....For first time beginners cooking can be intimidating to say the least, it is an awesome way to express ones self as well as serve a totally unique and edible dish to ones friends and family. This website is most excellent in the respect that beginners can learn....Thank you as I will probably use this site for the training of my nephews.

Now this article is both informative and very handy for ones who have small children and parties on thier mind. I especially love the part about getting some help....as we all know children can be quite a handful and when we get them in quantity it is useful to have assistance of a few others so that they might catch what we miss.....this web sight is great !!!

Smoothies are absolutely agreat breakfast too. My kids come home from school so hungry that they're ready to eat the paint off the walls, so I tend to think of quick, easy, & satisfying, but not too much before dinner.

When I teach smoothies at birthday parties, I always ask the kids for other fruits etc to use - you wouldn't believe how many varieties they can list. Personally, I'm ready for some watermelon slushies this summer!
